Best ChatGPT Navratri AI Photo Prompts

Hi, I’m Keshav Chouhan. I write and test ChatGPT photo editing prompts on MBA Prompt Wala.

On Navratri every year Instagram fills up with day-wise colour photos, and most of us can’t book a shoot 9 times.

So I wrote 1 lehenga prompt for each Navratri colour. Each has its own setting and lehenga style, so your 9 posts won’t look alike.

If you want everyday lehenga looks too, my full list of ChatGPT lehenga photo editing prompts for girls has 16 more.

First Day Navratri Portrait

While creating this image, the main challenge was keeping the face similar to the reference photo while making the Navratri puja setup look natural. The first result also needed better placement of the kalash, sprouting jowar, and diya. I improved the prompt by adding clear instructions for facial consistency, traditional puja items, natural morning lighting, and realistic lehenga details.

First Day Navratri Portrait

Prompt

Use my uploaded photo as the main face reference. Preserve my facial features, including eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, jawline, skin tone, and natural smile. Do not change my age, slim my face, or apply beauty filters.

Create a realistic portrait of a young Indian woman celebrating the first morning of Navratri inside a traditional Indian home puja room. She is sitting on a low wooden patla with her hands folded in a namaste gesture, smiling gently toward the camera.

She wears a bright orange georgette lehenga with a beautiful gold gota patti border and a matching orange blouse with elbow-length sleeves. Her hair is styled in a neat, middle-parted low bun decorated with orange marigold flowers. Add small gold jhumkas, red and gold bangles on both wrists, and a small red bindi.

In front of her, place a polished brass kalash decorated with mango leaves and a coconut, a small clay pot filled with freshly sprouted green jowar, and a lit brass diya. Arrange marigold flowers and a traditional puja thali naturally around the setup.

In the background, show a beautifully decorated Goddess Durga idol with marigold garlands and traditional brass lamps. Keep the idol slightly blurred so the woman remains the main focus.

Soft morning sunlight enters through a side window, illuminating her face naturally. Use warm, realistic colours, detailed fabric textures, natural skin texture, and gentle shadows.

Camera: Sony A7 IV, 50mm lens, f/1.8 aperture, DSLR-style shallow depth of field, sharp facial details, realistic photography, 4:5 vertical aspect ratio.

Negative prompt: No distorted face, extra fingers, unnatural skin smoothing, incorrect puja items, artificial studio lighting, or blurry face.

Second Day Maa Brahmacharini Dress Navratri Portrait

The main challenge was creating a natural Garba pose while keeping the face similar to the reference photo. In the first image, the face and body direction did not match properly. I adjusted the prompt to improve the head angle, body posture, and natural smile. I also added a DSLR-style background blur to keep the woman in focus while showing the colourful Navratri celebration.

Second Day Maa Brahmacharini Dress Navratri Portrait

She wears a traditional white Gujarati chaniya choli with colourful mirror work, multicoloured circular embroidery, and vibrant pom-pom borders. Her fitted white blouse has elbow-length sleeves decorated with colourful threadwork and small pom-poms. Her hair is styled in a long braided hairstyle decorated with colourful flowers and traditional hair accessories. Add oxidised silver jhumkas, a multicoloured necklace, matching bangles on both wrists, a decorative maang tikka, and a small red bindi. Keep her makeup natural with defined kajal and soft pink lips.

She is performing Dandiya Garba, holding two colourful wooden dandiya sticks, one raised above her shoulder and the other extended forward. Her lehenga is slightly flared from the dance movement. Her face and upper body should turn naturally in the same direction, with her head facing slightly toward the camera rather than looking too far sideways. She has a joyful, natural smile.

In the background, show other people dancing Garba in colourful traditional outfits, decorated pandals, marigold garlands, and warm hanging fairy lights. Keep the background heavily blurred with beautiful circular bokeh, while her face, jewellery, and outfit remain sharp and detailed.

Third Day Maa Chandraghanta Colourful Dandiya Garba Navratri Portrait

While creating this image, the biggest challenge was making the dancing pose look natural while keeping the face sharp and the lehenga beautifully spread out. The original image had a plain white background and looked more like a digital illustration. I improved the result by adding a realistic Garba celebration background, warm festival lighting, and DSLR-style blur. I also adjusted the hand positions, dandiya sticks, and flowing dupatta to create a more realistic dancing moment.

I also included Maa Kushmanda’s idol in the background to connect the image with the fourth day of Navratri.

I used silver mirror-work embroidery, warm golden lights, and deep red decorations to improve the contrast. Another challenge was keeping the woman’s face bright and natural while showing Maa Kalaratri’s idol in the background. I adjusted the lighting and added DSLR-style background blur to keep the woman in focus. I also made sure she held exactly two dandiya sticks, one in each hand, to avoid extra or duplicated sticks.

Maa Siddhidatri Golden Navratri Portrait

While creating this image, the main challenge was giving the entire scene a golden Navratri look without making the woman’s face appear too yellow or overexposed. The original image had a multicoloured outfit and a busy background. Another problem was that the AI generated an extra dandiya stick, making it look like the woman was holding three instead of two. I fixed this by refining the prompt to specify exactly two dandiya sticks, one in each hand, with natural hand positions. I also added a golden-yellow lehenga, warm festival lighting, DSLR-style background blur, and Maa Siddhidatri’s idol in the distance. The closer camera framing helped keep the woman’s face, jewellery, and traditional outfit in sharp focus.

Maa Shailputri Orange Navratri Portrait

While creating this image, the main challenge was changing the original multicoloured lehenga into beautiful orange shades without losing its traditional embroidery and mirror-work details. I improved the prompt by using bright orange, saffron, and golden shades for the outfit and adding a matching orange Garba background. I also changed the woman’s lipstick to red to make her look more festive. Another important detail was ensuring she held exactly two dandiya sticks, one in each hand, without any extra or duplicated sticks. Finally, I used warm golden lighting and DSLR-style background blur to keep her face sharp and natural while maintaining the lively Navratri atmosphere.

Pose: Capture her standing gracefully at a lively Garba celebration, facing the camera with a soft, confident, natural smile. She holds exactly two colourful wooden dandiya sticks, one in her right hand and one in her left hand. The two sticks are crossed naturally in front of her upper waist, forming a clear X shape. Each stick is decorated with orange, red, green, and golden patterns. Both sticks must have clearly visible ends, with no additional or duplicated sticks. Her elbows remain relaxed, her hands rest naturally near her waist, and her shoulders and head are properly aligned. Her orange lehenga spreads gently around her, showing its detailed traditional embroidery.

Background: A grand outdoor Navratri Garba celebration decorated entirely in bright orange, saffron, amber, marigold yellow, and golden shades. Several women and men wearing coordinated orange traditional outfits are joyfully performing Garba and Dandiya in the background.

The venue features beautifully decorated traditional arches, orange marigold garlands, hanging lanterns, colourful Gujarati decorations, glowing diyas, and strings of warm golden fairy lights. A beautifully decorated goddess idol is visible in the far background, surrounded by golden lights and marigold flowers.

Keep the background dancers, decorations, and goddess idol softly blurred with professional DSLR bokeh so the woman remains the main focus. The atmosphere should feel joyful, traditional, colourful, and festive.

Lighting: Cinematic warm golden lighting mixed with soft orange and amber ambient illumination. Beautiful circular bokeh from hanging fairy lights and traditional lanterns. Natural skin tones, realistic golden reflections on the jewellery and mirror-work embroidery, detailed fabric textures, and gentle shadows. Her face must remain bright, sharp, and naturally illuminated without an excessive orange or yellow colour cast. Her red lipstick should remain clearly visible.

Camera: Sony A7 IV, 85mm portrait lens, f/1.8 aperture, professional DSLR photography, shallow depth of field, sharp facial focus, realistic skin texture, eye-level camera angle, close three-quarter body framing with the upper portion of the orange lehenga clearly visible, cinematic composition, 4K ultra-high resolution, 4:5 vertical aspect ratio.

Negative prompt: No distorted face, mismatched head and body angles, extra fingers, extra arms, extra dandiya sticks, three or more dandiya sticks, duplicated sticks, unnatural hand positions, broken dandiya sticks, plastic skin, excessive beauty filters, orange or overexposed face, blurry subject, harsh studio flash, cartoon effect, distorted goddess idol, floating fabric, unrealistic jewellery, incorrect body proportions, or unwanted text.

Tips for better Navratri photos

  • Use a photo without sunglasses or a heavy filter. ChatGPT copies what it sees.
  • For night garba prompts, mention “face sharp” or the face may blur with the motion.
  • 9:16 suits Reels and Stories. 4:5 suits a normal Instagram post.
